I’ve been a one-to-one Personal Trainer since 2013, working in an independent gym, and I absolutely love it there, especially training clients, and I will carry on doing it because I enjoy the face-to-face interaction.
I’ve had some great results with some clients, and not so good results with others, and this has led to frustration for not just the client, but for myself too.
So I wanted to look at creating something that guaranteed results with everyone I worked with, and what I’ve realised is most people don’t want just personal training sessions, what people want are RESULTS.
To get the result that they’re looking for comes not just from exercise, but other factors like good nutrition, proper hydration, and better sleep and lifestyle habits.
When someone is looking to get healthier, lose weight (more on that at a later date) or just be in better shape, one of the last things they want is to be ‘beasted’ in a gym with a personal trainer screaming in their ear. For most people this is very off-putting, and scares them away from exercising altogether.
So how do clients get results?
What most people NEED is coaching, and there’s a difference between training someone and coaching them.
When you’re training them you’re mostly concentrating on their exercise and workouts, with some nutrition advice thrown in. When you’re coaching someone you look at everything, which includes not just exercise and nutrition, but other factors and lifestyle habits:
All these things make a massive difference to how good a result someone can achieve. That’s why I feel it’s important to cover everything, and leave no stone unturned.
It is how I’ve seen the most success with my one-to-one clients, not just by seeing them once a week and going through a workout, but by checking in with them throughout the week to make sure all the other stuff is on the right track too.
That is why I have created i-health and fitness because it will help my clients create a better and healthier lifestyle, for not just now but for the rest of their life. By doing it online I’m able to reach out and help more people.
I don’t just want to be a Personal Trainer, I want to become someone’s Personal Coach .
The system I use with i-health and fitness is based around good education, so rather than my clients just following a set of rules, they’re actually learning how to do it themselves and why they are doing it. So I find out about their lifestyle, home and work, as well as social and family life too. Then I have a clear indication of our starting point and what they’re doing at present.
Then we look at what habits they currently have that are holding them back, and work out ways that we can quickly and simply change those habits into better, more sustainable ones. For example, maybe they aren’t drinking enough water daily, or they’re skipping breakfast, or perhaps they’re staying up late and feeling tired. All these things can be changed quickly and easily to produce amazing results.
It’s all about HABIT CHANGES. Turning not-so-good ones into better, manageable healthier ones. And it’s so simple!
With the personalised packages I offer, it all starts with my consultation package. This is the first and most important step in me finding out as much information as possible about the client, so I can see which areas we need to work on, and how to start getting the result that the client is looking to achieve.
Once completed, I then review their consultation package, and send them my consultation report, which would come with my recommendations on where we’re going to start.
Then the journey begins, clients login through the website to access any workouts and all their coaching. These can also be accessed through a mobile app, which can be downloaded, for free, for either Apple or Android devices.
